eFiling of Urgent Cases during COVID-19 Pandemic/Lockdown in Uttar Pradesh

Complainants who have access to the internet could file online complaints if their State or city provides such a service. In order to do so, the complainant must access the website of eCourts (https://districts.ecourts.gov.in/) and follow the steps as shown on the website. To help out the ones who might face problems, we have also provided here a brief step-by-step explanation of process in filing a complaint on the internet. The Allahabad High Court recently due to the sudden spike in Covid-19 cases across Uttar Pradesh, has decided to restrict regular functioning of courts.

“All the guidelines regarding COVID-19 issued by the Central Government, Government of Uttar Pradesh and the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad will be followed by all concerned strictly.”- stated the guidelines.

In view of the closure of regular courts at District Gautam Buddha Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) till further orders in view off threat of corona virus, the court administration has launched an email address urgentfilingdcgbn@gmail.com where lawyers can make a request for taking up their cases on the ground of urgency.

Henceforth, mentioning of imminently emergent and urgent cases of District Court of Gautam Budh Nagar will be made on urgentfilingdcgbn@gmail.com.

During the lockdown in the District Court of Gautam Budh Nagar in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hon'ble Court has resolved to hear inter alia fresh urgent matters through Video COnference (VC) on jitsi software. One can also visit the official website of the District Court at https://districts.ecourts.gov.in/gautam-buddha-nagar and click on the link given on left-hand side as Video Conference to join the proceedings on the day and time when case is listed for hearning.
